Terms & Conditions: HOLIDAY RENTALS 

Please read this section so that there cannot be any misunderstandings. We have been renting property in Mijas for 22 years and we feel it’s better to make clear what are our mutual obligations apart from making sure you have a thoroughly good holiday.

1)      What does the price include?

Maid Service at your holiday home prior to your arrival and on your departure. Plus if you stay for two weeks or more weekly linen change and an interim clean through. Please bring a pool or beach towel each, as these are not always provided. All properties are well equipped with kitchen & tableware. The owner provides all services to the property eg. water, electricity/gas, gardener and pool cleaning.

Our office in the heart of Mijas Pueblo is open from 9:30 – 7:00 pm Monday – Friday and 10 – 2 pm on Saturdays and you’ll be given any help or friendly advice required. Plus you will be given telephone numbers to call in an emergency outside of these hours. We advise you to bring a mobile phone and charger with an adapter plug with you as none of our holiday properties have a landline.

2)      How to make a reservation

We need you to `click´ that you agree to the Term & Conditions. We then need the names and passport numbers of your party. Please indicate ages under 18 years of age.

3)      Payment

Can be made by Visa On-line / Telephone / Bank Transfer. All payments should be made in Euros and the initial payment of 25% of the total holidays amount is to be paid when your booking is confirmed. The balance is to be paid 6 weeks before your holiday.

4)      Cancellations

If you have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances we ask for a doctors letter or similar explaining the reason. We will then try to re-book the property to other clients. If this possible we will return your deposit or offer you alternative dates. However, if it is too close to your holiday period this may prove impossible so we recommend that you take Holiday Insurance cover for such an event.

5)      Insurance

Apart from the unlikely need to cancel as above we still recommend that you have travel insurance. The Form E1-11 from Post offices will cover you for doctor’s visits on the Spanish Social Security system but with insurance you can visit private clinics or doctors. We hope you will not need to!

6)      Your Holiday Home

Whether a modest comfortable apartment, or a luxury villa with pool, all of our properties are someone’s home. Please treat them with respect and notify us of any damage, which you are responsible for repairing. Likewise if you find something broken or lacking – do let us know so we can rectify the problem.

7)      Safety

Make sure all your party is `familiar´ with any possible hazards in their new temporary home. Make sure children are supervised in and around the pool areas, balconies and steps etc. Remember marble floors and water are very slippery! We recommend plastic beakers around the pool.

8)      Neighbours

Please treat your holiday environment with respect by not causing undue noise late at night.

9)      Animals

Pets are not allowed unless by prior arrangement with Mijas Properties and the individual owners authority.

10)  Optional Extra Services

Welcome Food Packs, Car Hire, and Accompaniment to your property. Cot & High Chair Hire and Extra Maid Service.
